Disrespect?
I am 85 years old, a Korean veteran and a Disabled Vietnam veteran.
The things that are happening in our country as of late, saddens and
concerns me greatly. The disrespect being shown in some quarters for
our country's flag, Anthem and service personnel is appalling!
The First Amendment to the Constitution of the USA, does indeed assure
every American the right to “Freedom of speech and the right of self-expression!”
With that said, I and thousands of other military personnel, risked their lives
to assure all Americans of those freedoms.
I find it shameful that any American could stoop to disrespecting the Flag,
our Anthem and warriors for any personal reason!
Everyone has the right to disagree with my opinion, but no one has the right
to disrespect our flag, Anthem and our warriors, who have given life and limb
for the freedoms of this great country for over two hundred years!
“I am forever honored, for I have marched with heroes!”
