Oh the childhood times
Where innocence chimes
With tinkling laughter
And meaningless chatter

Trampling on ants watching the
poor little creatures flee
Screaming in pure delight
and laughing with glee

Plucking wings of a butterfly
and petals of a flower
Out of innocent curiosity and
wonders to discover

Oh the innocent ways
Of the childhood days
Where every act of cruelty
Goes without a penalty
