Confusion
pulsating in my head
twisting purple coils
blackness surrounding the thoughts
I'm trying desperately to unravel
deep, buried things
wanting to burst out
into the air are
preventing me from
moving forward...
Too many doubts press in
too many fears of the unknown
too many people left behind
too many loves unrequited
ALL pressing upon
my thoughts and I
must make them
STOP!
Please...
...give me respite
from this swirling
purple haze
I don't want to hurt them
Don't want to admit
I've changed my mind
I want what I want
I want what I don't have
I want
LOVE
And it escapes me
though I give and I give
but now I see through the
pulsating indigo mist...
It's not in my control
yet all is not lost
Eyes closed...
breath ragged...
body stilled...
It is always there
within me.
NOT in the mind
I push it down
where it belongs
within my heart, my core
I give it to myself
each time I honor
my own worth!
Lavender thoughts appear
and the scent of lilacs
fills my mind
Sunshine moves
in stippled patterns
warming, welcoming
banishing that black space
that stood there
Clarity arrives
and with a deep,
cleansing breath
PEACE.
