Please hear me, O Lord,
As I cry aloud;
Not to be ignored,
Sitting on a cloud.
Have pity on me,
I patiently wait;
A response to be,
Not to seal my fate.
Please come seek my face,
My heart says to you;
To feel your embrace,
Help me to construe.
Your face I will seek,
So please do not hide;
As humble and meek,
Wanting to abide.
Do not turn away,
You have been my aid;
I could go astray,
Naked and afraid.
Please do not forsake,
Not to abandon;
So much still at stake,
That would be undone.
Please teach me your way,
Lead me on the path;
So I do not stray,
And be spared Your wrath.
Surrender not me,
To any my foes;
Your insight does see,
All my hurt and woes.
The goodness I see,
In You through my life,
Able to set free,
From all of my strife.
So I wait for hope,
In ways for the Lord;
Courageous to cope,
For moving forward.
