Another day to join again
With those we love, family and friends
Where festive souls will share of bread
This day of thanks with prayer said
The drive was long and too the flight
The road ahead turned day to night
But all was worth the trip and time
To hold those close you've held in mind
Laughter will fill a home in need
Hugs will be shared, many indeed
For on this day we come to together
To share again all that we've weathered
We see again those young now old
We hold real close what time has stole
For far too long we've been away
From what we knew and know this day
Parents who raised you and siblings
Love greater of those forgiving
Faults, divide you held against
Someone in life was Heaven sent
Give thanks to Him who made this day
Show those much love you've parted ways
For in the end a cheek that turns
Will reap reward and much discern
Give Thanks
