Who believes our message?
Power of the Lord revealed;
About what things of presage,
Are about to be unsealed.
He grew up like a young tree,
Like a root out of dry ground;
With no form or majesty,
Some had declared Him unsound.
Appearance not desired,
As considered attractive;
But with words that inspired,
Making others reactive.
Some despised and rejected,
But was a man of sorrows;
Knowing how some neglected,
For hope in the tomorrows.
He was despised like someone,
Familiar with suffering;
Considered what has begun,
So we could be buffering.
He had certainly taken,
Upon Himself for the grief;
As we feel so forsaken,
For our lack of belief.
We thought that God injured,
Beating Him as to punish;
For testimony perjured,
Judgment that had admonished.
He was crushed for our sin,
Wounded for rebellious acts;
Transgressions we keep within,
Since humans distort the facts.
He was punished to give peace,
As we receive the healing;
Bridging the gap to release,
A life that is revealing.
For we have all strayed like sheep,
Each of us has turned away;
Before our time to sleep,
He asks us all to obey.
