Peach Blossom Spring

Peach Blossom Spring

Amidst the emerald shining trees
I found a world untouched by man
A golden realm of iridescent eyes
And souls touched by loves beauty.
I heard the sweet songs of angels
And felt the soft breeze of springtime,
In a garden of pure white flowers.
People there were kind and gentle
Free from the worlds stifling voice
They smiled from innocent hearts
And their movements were like poetry.
I found the place of peach blossoms
And someone I knew from another life,
Her soul at once found mine again
And time just faded away like a dream.
We walked the sunset beaches
The melodies of the twilight hours
Played the music of our dreams
And all seemed to fall into place once more .
The moonlight illumined her eyes
And in them I saw an unspoken sadness
That told me of the sorrow of parting.
I awoke to birdsong and dappled light
Beneath the early morning trees
But nowhere was she to be seen,
No sight of my peach blossom spring
And though I search high and low
Days have become months, then years;
But I cannot rest in my aching soul
Until I find that paradise again
And the one I will cherish 'til the end of time.
