God is our refuge and strength,
Ever present in times of trouble;
To persevere at any length,
Rescuing us from the rubble.
That is why I am not afraid,
Even when the earth starts to shake;
The Lord is there to render aid,
At the time of any earth quake.
Mountains topple into the sea,
Sea water roars like a lion;
Tsunami waves are flowing free,
But I am safe living in Zion.
There is a river that brings joy,
Whose streams flow throughout the city;
A place that no one can destroy,
Where compassion from God takes pity.
This is the place that God resides,
Which is impossible to fall;
The place that where each one abides,
After they have received His call.
Nations in chaos as they tumble,
The earth melts as God start to speak;
The nonbelievers will stumble,
As the Lord saves all those who seek.
The Lord of the Armies is here,
The God of Jacob a stronghold;
Ever present in our fear,
Giving confidence to be bold.
Come and see the works of the Lord,
The devastation to the earth;
Let it not ever be ignored,
For creation of a new birth.
Let go of all of your worry,
Then you will know that He is God;
No more wars from any fury,
For the God we honor and laud.
