Always be joyful in the Lord,
And I will be saying again;
Show that He is loved and adored,
Proclaim to all women and men.
Let others know that you are kind,
And how considerate you are;
In keeping the Lord on your mind,
Knowing that He is never far.
Worry not about anything,
But in any situation;
Remember what your prayers will bring,
Unto God your intercession.
The peace of God goes well beyond,
Anything we can imagine;
For keeping us with a tight bond,
If devotion is genuine.
It will guard your mindful thought,
And emotions through Jesus Christ;
On what is spiritually sought,
Avoid being worldly enticed.
Keep your thoughts on things that are right,
Whatever is deserving praise;
Things with acceptable insight,
Things that are true and fair always.
Practice everything you have learned,
All that you have heard and have read;
Living till this life is adjourned,
And laid to rest in our bed.
Then God gives peace will be with you,
Because the Lord fills you with joy;
Through the interest to construe,
That you continue to employ.
I have learned how to be content,
No matter the situation;
Regardless of how much torment,
Throughout the continuation.
I have learned the secret to live,
And how to live in poverty;
How to receive and how to give,
How God granted prosperity.
