How could I not fall?

The bed so inviting, the fire lit the room

She loosened her hair with one shake I was doomed

Temptation's bell rang out, loud, shrill and clear

But I didn't hear it - not with heaven so near

I tried not to succumb, I tried ever so hard

But no one was listening to all my pure thoughts

The fire lit her body, her shadow enthralled

She patted the bed - how could I not fall?

Her legs long and bronze invited my gaze

I looked and I touched and my fingers they strayed

Her dress fell to waistline she smiled and said 'Hey!'

'Shall I get dressed or are you going to stay?'

I sank into heaven I drowned in her eyes

She wound me, she ground me, she brought me to life

She held me, she felt me, she… it's best I explain

For the first time in my life I felt blood in my veins
