Endure your discipline,
For God is your Father;
And will keep you from sin,
For going much further.
The Father does correct,
His children on their path;
Of things that would reflect,
Sins in needing His wrath.
If never disciplined,
You are not family;
As punished if you sinned,
Paying eternally.
We have fathers on earth,
Disciplines us when bad;
Respecting them from birth,
Shining bright being glad.
Remain under His rule,
To be able to live;
And not to be a fool,
Your Father will forgive.
Discipline is the best,
Which is for your own good;
For what God did invest,
So you do what you should.
None of us does enjoy,
Disciplined in the pain;
When wrongful acts employ,
As memories retain.
Those who learn from His rage,
Will have peace what is right;
And can then turn the page,
For spiritual insight.
Strengthen your tired arms,
As well as your weak knees;
Alert to the alarms,
Hear blowing in the breeze.
Walk the straight and narrow,
So that your leg will heal;
Feel better tomorrow,
Having spiritual zeal.
