May God have pity on us all, For we have taken a downfall; Blessing us smile with favor, Since He has sent us a Savior. May He be merciful with grace, Enabled to feel His embrace; Causing His glory to shine bright, As to see the eternal light. Then your ways will be known on earth, That God has known before your birth; Through all nations of salvation, For building a new foundation. Let each of us give thanks to God, Worshipping through honor and laud; Let us all give thanks unto Him, Blessing you with spiritual vim. Let all the people praise the Lord, Show that He is love and adored; Let all the people give Him praise, Keeping in one accord always. Let all nations joyfully sing, All of the creation did bring; Allowing nations to be glad, The way our ancestors had. For God judges everyone, Our advocate is His Son; Having justice able to guide, That our nation can abide. For He will judge all the people, With equity through the Gospel; And rule the nations of the earth, Showing what creation is worth. Let the people give thanks to God, He will heal you where you are flawed; The Lord will reward your motive, Through the willingness to forgive. So much that the Lord did invest, For the earth to yield its harvest; Because God is willing to bless, If we are willing to confess. Copyright © 2017 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
