My Life (post divorce and empty nest) in Sonnets
Hope
Original Contemporary Poetry by author, Jean Parr
Hope
When you least expect it
When you lost faith in love and hope, of becoming a priority wife
When you doubt your worth after he split
When you contemplate ending your life
Believe in hope
Believe in destiny and fate
Trust your own intuition and maybe even horoscope
Be open to opportunities, such as an online date
One glance and I knew
The possibilities are endless, yet not difficult to surmount
But only if I'm open to trust again and to my own heart be true
I believe in signs and they are too numerous to count
Gum, the sign that broke me
With new eyes, it might just be my sign of destiny
