The idea for this came from an Acting Sgt in charge if the RP's at a Scaley training Depot. He even tried to charge a squad of 15, marching on a pavement, for ignoring a Halt Major Road ahead sign.

Particularly Section 69

He strode out into the lines.
If ever a man was promoted
Way beyond his ability,

To suitably punish
Any perceived ill deed.
And, of course,
If all other means were gone
There was always Section 69
To fall back upon.
He became a legend at his Depot
Causing tons and tons of grief
And when he was finally posted
Even the CO sighed with relief.
He got accelerated promotion
Just because he knew
Many ingenious ways
Of issuing a valid 252.
When he reached retirement
There was a whip round by the lads
Who bought him a pair of Silver
Mounted charge sheet pads.
And when he's feeling low
They help him recall the day
When he was a man of power
And his rule held sway.
And he continued to study
Queens Regs with a verve
Just in case he was ever
Called back to the Reserve.
A man of earnest principles
