FOR UNTO YOU IS BORN THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID A SAVIOUR, WHICH IS CHRIST THE LORD.
This is my understanding of these Scriptures
A. FOR UNTO YOU: the you is anyone who chooses to believe.
B. IS BORN: This means He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Immaculate Conception means conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Mary gave birth to Him in the natural way.
C. THIS DAY: means that was the day that Christ was born
D. IN THE CITY OF DAVID: David was the king of Israel in the Old Testament.
Mary was from his lineage. This means that Christ was of the royal king's line.
E. A SAVIOR: until Christ's birth and His death on the cross and His resurrection
there was no forgiveness for sin.
The Jews could sacrificed animals to cover their sins.
Only the Jewish people could be forgiven.
After Jesus' resurrection all of mankind's sins could be repented of and forgiven.
That is why its says "a Saviour is born".
F. WHICH IS CHIRST THE LORD: Jesus Christ is the Messiah
who was promised to come all through the Old Testament.
He is the second Person of the Holy Trinity;
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
Christmas is today. The celebration of the birth of that Baby
When He was a baby in the manger His hands was reaching
out to grasp Mary or Joseph's hands
He isn't a babe anymore He is our Savior
His hands are still reaching out to the world
searching for all that will come to Him.
We can't remember the cradle without remembering the cross
and the great price The Baby would pay for us when He grew up
In this song the question is ask MARY, DID YOU KNOW
WHEN YOU KISS YOUR LITTLE BOY
YOU'VE KISSED THE FACE OF GOD"
Mary was a special blessed woman to carry Jesus
in her womb and in her heart and her arms
Joseph was a special man blessed to be Jesus' earthly father
to carry Him in his heart and arms
*The words of this song brings a new revelation of what Christmas is all about for me.
How will I celebrate this day? Will I take time to worship Him?
Will I take time to read what the Bible says in the Holy Scriptures about Him?
Or will it be just another day like every other day?
Take a minute and look at the first picture in this video.
The artist has Joseph working at his carpenter bench.
Joseph was/is Jesus earthly father.
The young child Jesus is playing with three nails. They are like the ones
used to nailed Him to the cross. Behind the Child, Jesus, there is a shadow of the cross.
