Today I struggle with key strokes mine
To write of story before my time
Of child in manger, of all the places
Grace came forth in us it traces
Forgiveness, truth, was born that night
In swaddling cloth, by Heavens light
Birthed to save a wretched soul
Like yours and mine that darkness stole
He came to be because of need
For love and mercy, to intercede
On our behalf, not half but whole
Restoring breath, of yours take hold
He walked a land and brought redemption
To ruthless hearts, bringing salvation
To all who sought and gave sincere
Of themselves, treasured, endeared
No less today this story told
Holds true as hands sacred His mold
A better you no less of me
If given chance though blind, we'd see
What was and is, His heart well knew
Before your time of loss ensued
Take hold of Him and know of peace
This Christmas day, in Him, upon now feast
In reading this….. Merry Christmas!
In reading this... Merry Christmas
