Communion

Kind shadows of evening
Trace our steps to the garden
Where all is lit by crimson sun
And where we dream together
As love shines brightly in our eyes;
All the world is slowly fading
Into the starlit darkness that enfolds us;
Now your beauty somehow guides
Through the tangle of night scented blossom
To our sanctuary of perfect rest
Where we talk of all those things that matter
As time fades into an eternal communion;
This moment I hold with eyes closed
And know it will go on and on and on.
