“Circle of Thoughts”
He often wished
he could fence
her out
of his mind
at times,
block out all
his thoughts
that had her
running around
in them
and replace them
with the random
thoughts
he use to have
before she
accidentally
intruded
into his life
and took over
the selection
process
of all his
loosely tied
thoughts,
he’s tried
everything
to be free
of her
for
short periods
of time
but he was
unable to even
lesson the degree
to which she
torments him
with those
thoughts
he has of
her,
the way
she wears her
body
and looks at
him
with those
eyes,
movies he watches
in hopes of
blacking out
the continuous
loop
of her
going on
in his mind
have no effect
as his eyes try
and take in
their technicolor
story line
but sadly
each celluloid
frame
just spills over
him
and on to
the floor
leaving a puddle
of colors
and unwatched
Hollywood dreams
at his feet
all of which
are unable to
even thinly
veil his
kaleidoscope
of thoughts
just of her,
faces and smiles
tossed about
with chosen
words
and unforgettable
poses
along with
some of her
more softer parts
each twist of
the tube
lets a new
image of her
fall
giving his mind
an endless stream
of fresh material
to digest,
he has found
himself
getting lost
following that
thread
of her
for hours
on end
not unlike
today,
as he finds
the credits
are scrolling
across the screen
to a movie
he can’t
remember
while thinking
about
a woman
he knows
he’ll never
forget…
