Receive your power from the Lord,
That will give you His mighty strength;
For remaining in one accord,
Resisting at a greater length.
Put armor on that God supplies,
So you will be taking a stand;
Against Satan and all His lies,
On solid rock not sinking sand.
The inner conflicts we wrestle,
Matching against a human foe;
By wearing an armored vessel,
Will be giving wisdom to know.
We wrestle with many rulers,
The governed powers of shadows;
Trying to deceive as duelers,
Attempting to destroy the hallows.
Spiritual forces that control,
Evil in a heavenly earth;
And taking hostage of your soul,
That is vulnerable since birth.
You are able to take a stand,
Throughout all of these evil days;
Following Christ as God has planned,
With walking through the daily maze.
So take your stand on solid ground,
Having Christian faith as your shield;
Till the day at the trumpet sound,
Rooted in Good News that will yield.
Wear your helmet of salvation,
And the Word of God as your sword;
For standing on your foundation,
In the battalion of the Lord.
Pray in every situation,
Every kind of prayer request;
With all prayer and supplication,
Be regretful while confessed.
Pray that the right words God will give,
For speaking boldly to reveal;
Of the mystery that will live,
Iniquities that God will heal.
Even though I am just a man,
I will represent Jesus Christ;
Because I am a captive fan,
Causing me to become enticed.
