We must love each other, Because love comes from God; Like sister and brother, You should honor and laud. All who love has been born, From the Lord and knows Him; So while we sojourn, God gives spiritual vim. The one who does not love, For God he does not know; And blessing from above, To him will never flow. God has shown us His love, Sending His only Son; From in Heaven thereof, That the bridge had begun. So that the world might live, And through Him we have peace; Confessing to forgive, Iniquities will cease. Not that we have loved God, But that God has loved us; Christ paid where we are flawed, For atonement as thus. If this is how God loves, We must show in return; Free thinking as peace doves, Love that Heaven does yearn. No one has ever seen, Our God in Heaven; Returning after been, For love that was given. His love is perfected, Knowing He lives within; Love never rejected, After cleansed from the sin. Those who live within Him, Knows that God lives in them; They will never feel grim, And God will not condemn. Copyright © 2017 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
