Forget not what you were taught,
Keep all commandments in mind;
They help in what you have sought,
That you are able to find.
The length of days through your life,
Helps to live long through the years;
Promoting peace through the strife,
And calming down all your fears.
Do not let mercy and truth,
Your kindness ever forsake;
It makes you rude and uncouth,
Causing other hearts to break.
Fasten them around your neck,
Engrave them within your heart;
Periodically check,
Remembering to impart.
Find favor and much success,
With a good understanding;
Ensuring that God will bless,
Dwelling in His commanding.
Trust the Lord with all your heart,
Entrusting not on your own;
Lean on God to help you start,
Through prayer for making it known.
Through each day acknowledge Him.
He will make your path real smooth;
Giving you vigor and vim,
To keep running in the groove.
Think not of yourself as wise,
Deviate from all evil;
Darkness will wear a disguise,
Its master is the devil.
God will keep your body healed,
Muscles and bones well nourished;
Your harvest an ample yield,
All of your crops have flourished.
Honor the Lord with your wealth,
Tithing the cream of the crop;
He rewards you with good health,
For the first fruits off the top.
