God, what would you ask of me today? By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
My writes of late have fallen short
Of expectations more last resorts
I've walked away and towards much loss
Much further from your blessed course
Yet in my errors you call to me
Ignored more times so selfishly
Thinking like I know much better
Much more this day my soul tethered
You freed me when I walked enslaved
Where lost I was and light I craved
You gave my heart much needed sight
Held close my soul through darkest nights
I strive through struggles, though faint is heard
Your voice dear GOD, still in me stirs
A weaker man to rise again
Rise you say I am your Godsend
All feels right if I just stayed
In your will as ransom paid
Much more than I could ever give
Back to you father, with will to live
I need to call upon the words
That thrive in me, maybe yet heard
By someone else who needs to feed
Upon food for thought sowing your seed
A misfit hero but wear I will
This armor mine dusty and still
Dusty with doubts not yours but mine
Now rise my son, while there's still time
GOD, what would you ask of me today?

God, what would you ask of me today?
