CELESTIAL ETERNITY

The Streets Of Homelessness

The Streets Of Homelessness
Author: Mark V. Markov

Don't feel alone
Don't feel saddened
Looking at all those passing by
Living in luxury
Tender heart so fragile
Gentle as you are
Don't shed a tear
Don't you cry,

Perhaps it seems
The state of carelessness
In regards towards others
At times as it seems
Confusion or neglect
Towards so much homelessness,

Over so much time now
If the more fortunate could just build hostels
And charge $150 for a monthly bed
With security guards walking the stairs,
Guarding the rooms
To supervise any misuse or abuse
Of people or their valuables,

In a room 2 bunk beds
4 beds equal $600
A two bedroom would be $1200
Seems like a good rate
So far as it seems,
Even in most rich cities

If the city builds
Builds a hostel by itself
It would overcompensate
Its value to be
Just think of how many warm beds
With blankets and pillows,
To warm the freezing heads,

The cold tired heads
Of those left in the cold
On those murky foggy days and nights
In the poor streets,
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelessness.

Dont feel alone
Don't feel saddened
In the streets of homelessness
Don't cry seeing those living in luxury

Maybe things will happen
As people will use their minds
Perhaps even their hearts
To create a project such as this,
Through a charity
Or by any other means

So that in the
Poor streets
In the lonely streets
There would be
A warm safe place to sleep
In the streets of homelessness

So that in the
Poor streets
In the lonely streets
There would be
The gospel heard and preached
In a place where one can stay away
From the outside elements
In the poor streets
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelessness.

The shelters that some cities have
Are not the best
Just a hassle day in
And a hassle day out

Sometimes you come only
To get in and wait
But only not to get a bed,
Lucky if you get a number for the following night,
Perhaps a blanket
To go outside
To go into the cold
To stay and freeze

Until the rain comes
To soak you wet
Make your immune system vulnerable
To the disease.

It's just another state of mind
As that kind of poverty rules the streets
In the poor streets,
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelessness,

If anyone please
Just built a nice new clean hostel
Or completely renovate
Maybe Open a vacant building
So there won't be any lice or bed bugs
To scrape away in haste,

Most winters are cold
Summer does has the sunshine
As the gentle wind blows,
Brings cool breezes
In the poor streets
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelessness.

As you noticed
So far I didn't mention God in all of this
It's maybe to your own surprise
But He does observes
And always sees
Yes He exists
So please let us live to please Him
And help those
In the poor streets
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelesness,

Yes we can preach Jesus
But we also need to be Jesus
To those in need
If we're able and can
Then we need to get our hands dirty
By helping so many
By Helping them wiith basic needs
And also sharing
Sharing the gospel of eternal life
Sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ

For God looks down to see so many
So many living the life of poverty
Without anyone being there for them
Without anyone being there to help them
To be there And to share the love
The love of Jesus Christ,

Yes you will always have the poor
But that's so that you could serve God this way
By helping them and being there for them
In the poor streets
In the lonely streets
In the streets of homelessness....
