'' If Only You'd Stuck To The Truth ''

We will all live a lie,
That we cannot deny,
Be we Christian, Muslim or Jew,
There's an endless supply,
It will lead you awry,
Deep inside we all know what is true.

Be it white or black,
You can't take it back,
Once told it's now yours to defend,
If you go on the attack?
To keep it on track,
Into chaos you will surely descend.

It becomes hard to see,
What you said to me,
Let alone what you've said to others,
Soon they all disagree,
It becomes a melee,
It's then you keep adding on others.

Reality disappears,
It falls on deaf ears,
That lie you told is now massive,
You are in tears,
The guilt never clears,
You've forgotten the meaning of passive.

The facts when distorted,
Become so contorted,
Suddenly they become an affliction,
They can no longer be sorted,
Or even aborted,
As your words become known as fiction.

The lies you've invented,
Are now being lamented,
As you stand in your Gods witness booth,
You now feel tormented,
They've left you demented,
