Poetic Verses
Real Life
No sensitive man have I known
Who with each gesture emotion's shown
To shed a tear for my neglect
That held me dear in his respect
No songs were sung or poetry written
from a fellow that with me was smitten
Or with grand gesture his love profess
And treat me as only his goddess
Neither I've known the chivalrous man
Who steep mountain peak for me he'd span
To sweep me from beneath harms way
Protected by his armor from prey
No gentleman's cloak has caressed my shoulder
Enveloping me to the eye of the beholder
And holding that gaze my breath to catch
To any my whim or fancy he'd fetch
But maybe it's only in fairytale thus
And real men don't make such a fuss
But only work hard and side by side stand
To walk through this life hand in hand
Yet with every love song or manly tear shed
My woman's emotions are fiercely fed
Though I know that chivalry and doting
Are just real life with sugar coating
