All the elders among you,
I exhort for I am one;
As a witness that is true,
To the Father and the Son.
A witness to the Spirit,
And the suffering of Christ;
Watches over my merit,
All that I have sacrificed.
For I share in the glory,
Very soon will be revealed;
Being told in the story,
In the book that is now sealed.
Tend to the flock of the Lord,
The sheep that are among you;
As to be in one accord,
And enabled to construe.
Exercise the oversight,
Not merely of a constraint;
But willingly what is right,
Without reproach or complaint.
Be vigilant and sober,
Guarding against the devil;
Maintaining a caliber,
For fighting tempting evil.
Because the roaring lion,
Walks about stalking his prey;
Detouring you from Zion,
Luring you to go astray.
In your faith withstand steadfast,
Knowing of the suffering;
Accomplishments will outlast,
That gives you a buffering.
Because the God of all grace,
Calls you for glory in Christ;
Feeling His humbly embrace,
Stops you from being enticed.
Greet each other with a kiss,
Share love that will not sever;
Blessing them as you dismiss,
Peace which will last forever.
