I will sing mercy to the Lord,
My mouth will be making it known;
His faithfulness is not ignored,
Knowing of what He will condone.
Mercy shall be built up forever,
His faithfulness is established;
From Heaven that will not sever,
From promises as accomplished.
The Lord has made a covenant,
That was sworn unto His elect;
A seed considered permanent,
Built a promise not to neglect.
And Heaven will praise His wonders,
His faithfulness in all His saints;
The might of lightnings and thunders,
Causing blockage of all complaints.
Who in Heaven can you compare,
Who among the mighty of earth;
Who has the compassion to share?
No one else has of the same worth.
The Lord is greatly to be feared,
In the assembly of the saints;
Humbly honored being revered,
Remember to preserve restraints.
The Lord of the Heavenly Host,
The God of Hosts is a strong Lord;
Together with the Holy Ghost,
And of the Son in one accord.
God rules the raging of the sea,
Turbulent waves thereof arise;
He calms them down still as can be,
By His command to authorize.
He has broken men in pieces,
Causing many in being slain;
Scattered foes when battle ceases,
Causing their death from all their pain.
Justice and judgment from His throne,
Mercy and truth shall each one face;
Condemns what He does not condone,
But the righteous He will embrace.
