Bless be the Father of the Lord,
Such abundant mercy and grace;
Show that He is humbly adored,
With comfort from His sweet embrace.
Begotten us through lively hope,
Resurrection of Jesus Christ;
For the suffering He did cope,
When Jesus had been sacrificed.
An inheritance fades not out,
Not corrupted or defiled;
That will clear any of your doubt,
When you have been reconciled.
It is held for you in Heaven,
And kept by the power of God;
Through salvation it is given,
Be revealed when no longer flawed.
Wherein you can greatly rejoice,
Although right now for a season;
Your contempt with an uncouth voice,
Logic without rhyme or reason.
The heaviness through temptation,
While your faith is on trial;
Makes the value of salvation,
More than a wrongful lifestyle.
The prophets prophesied of grace,
Grace that was to be yours to search;
Before the judgment as you face,
God within His judicial church.
Search what or what manner of time,
The Spirit of Christ within them;
Kneeling for confessing the crime,
That God pardons and not condemn.
Of what you serve is to reveal,
Being announced in the Gospel;
Things that angels look to unseal,
His Spirit comes to the people.
