Put to death your worldly nature,
Immoral evil desire;
For becoming a new creature,
From the Lord that you acquire.
Your sexual impurity,
Having lustful rebellious greed;
All of it is idolatry,
Which is just a satanic seed.
The wrath of God will come to you,
If you are disobedient;
Not walking the path that is true,
Brings judgment that is not lenient.
You had once walked within these things,
When you were living within them;
The earthly pleasures that it brings,
Will only cause God to condemn.
But for now, we must put away,
The filthy language and slander;
Anger and wrath cause you to stray,
As your wandering eyes gander.
Do not lie to one another,
Adhere to the things that I teach;
Being honest to your brother,
While you practice what you preach.
You have been renewed in knowledge,
As endowed by your Creator;
The love of Christ creates a bridge,
As our emancipator.
Neither Jew or Greek, free or slave,
Without being within His love;
Free us from bondage of the grave,
For ascending to up above.
Therefore, being a chosen one,
Must put on heartfelt compassion;
Patience and kindness through the Son,
Humility not to ration.
The perfect bond of unity,
As love that will control the heart;
Ridding yourself of vanity,
For the Word in your deed impart.
