I pray that His divine power,
Bestows everything for life;
Necessary with each hour,
Godliness through the times of strife.
Rich knowledge from the One called,
By His glory and excellence;
The One whom we honor and laud,
With such kindly benevolence.
His magnificent assurance,
To be as in divine nature;
Giving us hope with endurance,
Being made in a new creature.
We have escaped the corruption,
Produced by evil desire;
That could become a disruption,
For reaching godly desire.
We make effort to self-control,
Perseverance to selfless love;
So, His Spirit protects my soul,
From the blessings flowing thereof.
Love from brotherly affection,
That derives from the godliness;
Sharing without an objection,
A willingness without duress.
For if these things are really yours,
And continually increasing;
They will keep you opening doors,
As godliness is unceasing.
Your pursuit of knowing the Lord,
Increases more intimately;
One who lacks such things has ignored,
Satan blinds them ultimately.
They forgot of cleansing past sin,
Nearsightedness has made them blind;
They become corrupted within,
No longer being humbly kind.
Make an effort to your calling,
Endued to enter His Kingdom
Never hesitate by stalling,
For He has given you wisdom.
