I had looked and behold,
A door standing open;
Into Heaven extolled,
Spirits did not dampen.
Then I could hear a voice,
Spoke like a trumpet sound;
My heart jumped to rejoice,
Jumping to leap abound.
I heard say, “Come up here,”
“Show you what will take place;”
His Spirit then came near,
Directed me to face.
A throne stood in Heaven,
On the throne seated one;
A look to me given,
I knew it was the Son.
Christ had the appearance,
Of jasper and crystal;
Rainbow in coherence,
A jewel like a pistil.
Twenty-four thrones surround,
Seated were the elders;
Clothed in white to astound,
Golden crowns on builders.
I saw flashing lightning,
And hears rumbling thunder;
Intense and brightening,
Such natural wonder.
Torches of fire burn,
Beside spirits of God;
For salvation we earn,
When we honor and laud.
I saw a sea of glass,
Spread in front of the throne;
An eagle flying pass,
Creatures laid I have known.
Holy, holy, holy,
Is the Lord our God;
For the One and only,
Who we honor and laud.
