 Elsie`s Poetry

IN SPIRIT

IN SPIRIT

He goes to her grave and weeps all alone
While reading the words etched on the headstone,
His loss is so great the pain hard to bear
His heart is full of nothing but despair.

He writes a few lines to tell of his love
For the girl who took his heart up above,
He sits on her grave to feel close to her
And whispers words which float on the air.

But they are not lost to the gentle breeze
There are things afoot which he never sees,
For her spirit is there right by his side
Trying to comfort and be his guide.

When he leaves her in her resting place
Tear stains evident upon his face,
She then returns to the great divide
Where she for eternity will reside.
