Nature Spoke To Me

I have been so sad since you passed away.

To my surprise, I felt happiness today.

Snow fell and covered the land last night.

My first thoughts, the snow was pure, white, beautiful, and bright.

It was something special and welcoming about this snow.

What it was, I do not know.

With this snow, in the air I felt a touch of Spring.

I don't know what the remaining days of winter will bring.

The snow was telling me that it is time to begin anew.

I have felt so awfully blue.

The sun came out this morning too.

Shining and smiling it reminded me of you.

Yes, you my dear although you are away from here,

You are in my heart, you are always near.

Beneath the light snow,

I saw blades of green grass down below.

Snow blanketed branches on the pine tree.

A wondrous sight for me to see.

With this snow I felt a sense of hope.

I had a feeling that I can cope.

Seeing the beauty of nature.

Allows me to be sure,

Sure, that Spring will soon arrive and all snow will hide.

Nature spoke to me with generous pride.
