Listen to the Word of the Lord,
Pay attention to His rebuke;
Never letting it be ignored,
Or think it written by a kook.
Give an ear to the Law of God,
Of the importance and purpose;
Giving guidance since you are flawed,
For all the times that you trespass,
The Lord is stuffed from fat of steers,
Blood from lambs He desires not;
He looks for the one that reveres,
Only doing things that He ought.
Upon entering His presence,
Who required this at your hand;
You need to us some common sense,
Whatever the Lord would demand.
Bring nothing that is meaningless,
For incense is detestable;
Abominations not for us,
Festivals are protestable.
Spread out your hands and start in prayer,
The Lord will look the other way;
Of all your willingness to share,
Promising to trust and obey.
He does not listen unto you,
Your hands are not covered in blood;
When your confession is not true,
And to be rescued from the flood.
Make confessions that are sincere,
He will remove your sinful deeds;
If you truly are showing fear,
God will cater unto your needs.
Through your sins you have a red stain,
But He purifies white as snow;
Iniquities will cause you pain,
That just like a cancer will grow.
If you have a good attitude,
You will eat good crops of the land;
But rebel while being rude,
You will feel the wrath of His hand.
