Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

I just want you to know,

The Gospel that I preach;

Just as God did bestow,

To be able to teach.

For I did not receive,

Learning it from a man;

But because I believe,

A revelation plan.

Knowing that you have heard,

The former way of life;

Prophets that gave the Word,

Having toils and strife.

Brutal persecution,

For destroying the church;

Even execution.

Like vultures on their perch.

I had advanced in ways,

Of a secular land;

Travelling through the maze,

As government has planned,

But One set me apart,

And called me by His grace;

To reveal in my heart,

His Son came to embrace.

I did not go to ask,

Advice from any man;

Rather to do the task,

That God had in His plan.

God had revealed His Son,

And able to outreach;

Spreading what He has done,

And possible to teach.

But I am still unknown,

By churches of this world;

Not sure how they condone,

What my work has unfurled.

The one who persecutes,

Will still try to destroy;

But God helps my pursuits,

For glory to enjoy.
