The Lament

I weep because I know.
Just a speck of carbon in a diamond mine,
Unable to form a significant crystal,
Forming a big enough crystalline to be seen,
Leaving an outcropping to be remembered,
A legacy with regard.
Significant to reach the heart;
To touch the mind;
To enter the soul;
To be remembered by the multitudes;
Yearning for what is in grasp...almost embraced;
Then, washed away by a big wave
Over-coated By love wrapped and cuddled;
Nurtured by one's mind;

To Last, to be remembered, unforgotten
To make a difference!
