The message of the cross,
To those who will perish;
A foolishness at a loss,
Because they do not cherish.
But to us who have been saved,
It is the power of God;
Since sin no longer enslaved,
Those who do honor and laud.
God will destroy the wisdom,
Of the wise for He will thwart;
Not allowed in His kingdom,
His Spirit not in their heart.
The art of intelligence,
Is not within a wise man;
His wisdom has no defense,
Nothing to devise a plan.
Where is the Mosaic Law?
The debater of the age;
That does not have any flaw,
And have reached a mature stage.
God has not made the wisdom,
Present in a foolish world;
It comes not from His Kingdom,
And where His plan has unfurled.
Since in the wisdom of God,
Has not a foolish intent;
For it is pure and not flawed,
Just like mankind would invent.
God has been pleased to save those,
Who believe in the preaching;
A stumbling block if one knows,
Miraculous in teaching.
Those who are called Jew or Greek,
That do not know the power;
Are uncertain how to seek,
For the day or the hour.
Let the person that will boast,
Keep boasting about the Lord;
And all the heavenly host,
For being in one accord.
