An Unopened Book

A Man's Final Letter

He spent the morning writing,
Explaining his choice exposing his pain.
His I'm sorry he directed to everyone.
Heart breaking with every word that he wrote.
Describing how his demons had finally won.
Tears falling from his eyes, he slowly signed his name.
With careful intent he placed it in a noticable place.
With a sigh, knowing this is the last of his pain.
One final breath, we wiped the tears from his face.
All alone in his bedroom, an unknown voice calls his name.
My dear beloved brother, throw away your saddened thoughts.
They do not serve you, they lead you away from love.
Startled he spun around, to see a face marked by tears..
The man began to retell in detail of the fight he was fighting.
When he finished he opened up his hand to reveal the scars he had.
When he saw his marks he recognized him, as he did he began to sob.
Putting his face in his shaking hands,
He lifted his face so they were looking eye to eye,
My brother I have never left you, you have never fought alone.
I was hoping somehow you would feel my comfort I was giving you along the way.
Screaming through to your spirit, I was letting my love be known.
But your demons chaos made you unable to hear the encouraging words I've been saying..
His legs gave in he fell to his knees, the is just to great.
The man knelt down looking right in his eyes.
I have felt your heartache, your path is not straight.
He noticed that tears Falling as the man cried.
Your fight is not over, you have just begun.
But I promise you it will get better soon.
Together we will take it on we'll be as one.
Let the sky's clear see the sun and moon.
He fell into the man's arms felt comfort inside.
He opened his eyes, the room was empty, but he was not alone.
Feeling a new emotion one He could not hide.
He finally felt the love that was always shown.
