Summer's Sun

Soft winds hold the warmth of summer days.
Dragonfly's and hungry frogs tempt the play
From my faithful dog as he frolics this warm day.
Lands of seashore sands sift gently through my
Hands. The tide stands and folds quickly at my
Side.

A picnic lunch for my love and for my dog Rover,
Take the hours sweet before they're over.
The Gulls dance high and low, their wings of white
Ivory feather has to take each dive together.

Then comes the Dolphins splashing, diving for
Their meal, these lovely creature's joy, I can
Feel.
Days like these pass to quick, but images of
Life is rich and strong, it happens like
The rhythm of an epic song.
With the kiss of summer's sun, this day will not
Go wrong.
