Poetic-Verses

'' Your Excuses Are Now Wearing Thin ''

For hundreds of years,
Millions have died,
Democracy at the heart of your cause,
You've shed many tears,
You would not be denied,
The right to make your own laws.

Independence day,
Will live forever,
This battle you fought and you won,
Now you have the say,
It's never say never,
Until the conflict is done.

You tamed the West,
A magnificent feat,
Through hardship and spirit you fought,
Truly the best,
Among the elite,
Courage like yours can't be bought.

Two world wars,
You helped to end,
Your bravery was never in doubt,
America abhors,
Those who condescend,
Your principles no-one should flout.

You fight for peace,
Across every land,
You're the guardians of Mother Earth,
You never cease,
Making a stand,
Where there's trouble that's where you'll berth.

Yet in times of accord,
Innocents are dying,
Due to your right to bear arms,
By the gun or the sword,
There's no denying,
Your second amendment alarms.

In a civilised nation,
Where adversity you've braved,
It amazes those out looking in,
You laid the foundation,
For lives to be saved,
