Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

I have taken shelter in You,

Because of You being my Lord;

You are the only God I knew,

That can be beloved and adored.

You are the Lord my only source,

Only source of my well-being;

Assisting me to stay the course,

Because of You are foreseeing.

To the saints that are on the earth,

Those that I admired so much;

You are knowing of their true worth,

And are giving your gentle touch.

As their troubles do multiply,

They desire of other gods;

The blood offerings I deny,

Since it is for idols of frauds.

Nor to their gods will I make vows,

I honor them not with my tongue;

Because my belief disallows,

Something contrary that is flung.

You have given stability,

You have made my future secure;

Blessing me with prosperity,

As my faith helps keeping me pure.

It is like having fertile fields,

Such a beautiful tract of land;

A bountiful harvest that yields,

A godly heritage demands.

I praise the Lord who guides me,

Overnight I reflect and learn;

Wisdom with the insight to see,

And salvation I did not earn.

I constantly trust in the Lord,

Because He is at my right hand;

And I remain in one accord,

Honoring every command.

I will not be upended,

My heart continues to rejoice;

And I will not be offended,

By protesters with a loud voice.

You will not leave my soul in hell,

My life is safe and rest in hope;

For You lead me where I should dwell,

In this path of life, I must cope.
