I am thankful to our Lord,
Whom I serve with a clear conscience;
For my prayers are never ignored,
Since I reflect on His patience.
As clear as my ancestors did,
Just as I through each night and day;
Avoiding things, He would forbid,
A faith that will trust and obey.
As I remember of your tears,
Such a longing in seeing you;
Filled with the joy rather than fears,
Let the Lord guide how to pursue,
I recall your faith as sincere,
That has been keeping you alive;
A faith you cherish holding dear,
So that your sanctitude will survive.
I ask you rekindle His gift,
You must begin to fan the flames;
In order for you to uplift,
As a disciple to proclaim.
God did not give us His Spirit,
Not being a Spirit of fear;
Rather love that we inherit,
Of self-control that we hold dear.
So, do not ever be ashamed,
Testifying about the Lord;
Continue that He is proclaimed,
And remaining in one accord.
He is the One who has saved us,
Called us with a holy calling;
Not being based on works as thus,
But of His purpose befalling.
Grace through Christ before time began,
Made visible through Jesus Christ;
By His Father upon His plan,
The reason He was sacrificed.
He removed the power of death,
Brought us new light through the Gospel;
Eternal life after last breath,
New promise unto the people.
Guard what is entrusted to you,
Hold to the standard that is sound;
Through the Holy Spirit pursue,
For keeping you heavenly bound.
