Too Weak to Cry

Too Weak to Cry                               April 1, 2018

The great hunger came
Who was to blame
Our children would die
Too weak to cry
No shoes to wear
Did anyone care
Died by the road
With fever and blight
No goodbye as Ireland cry
We remember them all and still ask why
Hunger ship to coffin ship
Died at sea, the final trip
The great hunger came
Who was to blame
