 the grass is growing
drown in the pain
drown in the smiles,
pretend im ok
whilst drowning in the sorrows 覧
of the memory of you
and me,
happy in lies
broken in love 覧
torn apart
broken at the seams
a vast void,
is all that remains,
of the star strewn sky
of our forged love,
the mutual breaking
of what was spawned below
not above...
but you were my life
and our love
was the knife
that dug into my flesh
deep into my veins
tearing me apart
never whole again覧
but strong i stood
crying and broken
stitching myself back together
closed,
no longer open,
mending at the seams
forgetting today,
forgiving tomorrow,
or so it seems 覧
i was lost in you
invisible to the eyes

that are truly mine

just to keep you

what was never to be

closer to home,

closer to me...

but here i stand

strong and broken

mending and fortifying

past the memories

before you can manipulate

and lie

once again...
