Since we have the confidence,

To enter the holy place;

God gave us the providence,

The blood of Christ gives us grace.

By the new and living way,

That He inaugurated;

In giving us a new day,

What God has generated.

Since we have such a great priest,

Over the house of the Lord;

And preparing a great feast,

That can never be ignored.

Let us draw near with true heart,

In faith of full assurance;

That His Word that we do impart,

Living by His accordance.

With hearts cleansed free from evil,

Bodies washed in water so pure;

Blocks the path of the devil,

Stops entry by the locked door.

Hold fast to your confession,

With an unwavering hope;

As a faithful foundation,

So, you are able to cope.

Let us conceive how to stir,

One another how to love;

And the good works that occur,

From the blessings from above.

Never neglect to gather,

Encouraging each other;

Be sure to meet together,

For helping out your brother.

For if we go on sinning,

After knowing of the truth;

There is no way of winning,

When you are rude and uncouth,

But fearful expectation,

Judged with fury and fire;

Having His consultation,

Quenches earthly desire.

How much worse the punishment,

Do you think that one merits;

By who had admonishment,

From God that he inherits.
