I come before God in prayer,
Because of my trust in Him;
Let me show how much I care,
Keeping me from being grim.
Let not enemies rejoice,
To humiliate me;
Treachery thwarted by choice,
Through the Lord letting me see.
Assist me to understand,
Teaching me of His pathways;
Guiding to truth of His demand,
Following commands always.
He is God who delivers,
Relying on Him all day long;
As one of His believers,
That stops the pain to prolong.
Compassion to faithful deeds,
For I act in this manner;
Since God has fulfilled my needs,
Since I fly high His banner.
He remembers not my sin,
Nor of my rebellious acts;
His Spirit cleanses within,
Since my confession detracts.
The Lord is faithful to me,
Extending me His favor;
Wisdom for insight to see,
He is truly my Savior.
The Lord is both kind and fair,
Teaching sinners how to live;
How to love and how to care,
Being able to forgive.
The meek He guides in judgment,
And humbled to what is right;
Offers all an atonement,
That directs us to the light.
The Lord is reliable,
Always proving faithfulness;
Actions justifiable,
Of heavenly blessedness.
Reputation of His sake,
Pardons my iniquity;
Promises He will not break,
No longer being guilty
