Journeys Through The Night

Lost in depth of thought
That weighs out at around a pound
I conquer the darkness that lingers
With Godly laughter
That emanates from my soul
And filters on up and through me
I am tired and weary
A little teary
But still I conquer
I roam about with the ghosts
Of the night
Restless in being
Trying desperately
To find the right spot
With which to settle at.
God smiles down.
I smile back.
Laughter evades me.
As the conquerer becomes the conquered
And I am off with the wind
Drifting fast back home
Where I open up my coffin
And climb back in.
Another night, another restless night
Sunshine is to be avoided
I close the casket and I am finished
With another night of dreamless  escapades.
