Puddles

Big fish in a little pond he thought
But his thinking was a muddle
For to the world at large his pond
Was just a little puddle.

It all came to an end
One stormy summers day
When a sudden flash flood
Washed his puddle away

Out in the big world
Bruised but alive
He found it  difficult
Just to survive,

For in his little puddle
He'd believed he was a pike
But out there on the big pond
He was really nothing like.

Alarmed and distressed
His life in a muddle
He set about to find
Another little puddle

To once again become
Big fish in little pond
So Devil take the hindmost,
And screw Tout le  Monde.
