World Gone Cold

Seeking for compassion In a world gone cold.
Walking the road of agonies hold.
The loving hearts have fallen to a bottomless pit.
What turmoil cries out in the pending dark.
Before our eyes will fade and wilt.
Scales of justice grossly tilt.

What steps hasten to the marching troops,
When lost hopes are driven to the mud,
The beauty lost no longer buds.
Sun blocked by ash and radiation's haze
Has apathy and greed brought forth the
End of days?
