Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

The Lord treated His servant well,

Just as He promised to excel;

Always being my God and Lord,

While being in one accord.

He has taught me such good judgment,

With the wisdom for discernment;

Because I rely on His commands,

Holding my fate within His hands.

Before when I was afflicted,

Immorality addicted;

I went astray before I heard,

But now I am keeping His Word.

He has always been very good,

And doing all things as He should;

For the statutes that He has taught,

Directing me where I have sought.

The arrogant are smearing me,

With lies and deceit to decree;

But I obey with all my heart,

To continually impart.

Their hearts have been insensitive,

Intolerant and negative;

But I enthrall His instruction,

Attempting any obstruction.

It was good to be afflicted,

So, I could become convicted;

That I could learn of His statutes,

Studying of what constitutes.

Instruction from Him is the best,

Better for me than to invest;

With all of the silver and gold,

Throughout my life that would unfold.
